Deposits and cancellations

A deposit holds the run. A cancellation policy says what happens to the deposit when plans change.

Deposits

Choose one:

• No deposit: pet owners pay at pick-up.
• A fixed amount: for example $50 per stay.
• A percentage: for example 25% of the stay.
• The first night: common for holiday weeks.

The deposit is taken when the booking is confirmed. It counts toward the final bill.

Cancellation tiers

Set what you keep depending on how much notice you get, for example:

Notice	What you keep
7 days or more	Nothing
2 to 6 days	Half the deposit
Less than 2 days	The full deposit

Notice is counted in your kennel's time zone, from the drop-off time.

No-shows

If a dog doesn't arrive, you can mark the stay as a no-show and keep what your policy says.

Your policy appears on your booking page and in every confirmation email, in plain words, before anyone pays.
