Setting up your runs
Last updated November 3, 2026
KennelFetch books stays into your runs, so it needs to know what you have.
Kinds of runs
First add the kinds of runs you offer, for example Standard run, Large run or Suite. For each kind, set:
- Size limit: the largest dog that fits (small, medium or large), or any size.
- Dogs per run: how many dogs from the same family can share one run.
Pet owners book a kind of run, not a numbered run. KennelFetch puts each stay in one run for the whole stay, and may shuffle future stays of the same kind between runs to make room. It never moves a dog who has arrived, a stay that starts today, or a stay you have locked to its run.
Your runs
Then add each run under its kind, with the name you use at the kennel, such as "A1" or "Back 3". Runs keep their order on the lodging grid.
If you call them something other than runs (suites, kennels, rooms), change the word in Settings → Kennel. The app and your booking page use your word everywhere.
Closing a run
To take a run out of use for repairs, close it for those dates. If stays are booked in it on those nights, KennelFetch says which ones; move them to another run on the lodging grid first. A run that has had stays can't be deleted, but you can turn it off.
Common questions
Can I change a run's kind later? Yes, as long as no future stay depends on the old kind.
Do I have to add every run before going live? Add at least one run of each kind you sell online. You can add the rest later.
